Sparks sports, LLC was created to promote personal growth for players and coaches in sports. We focus on the process of winning rather than the product of winning. Sports can teach us life skills.

Sports are a great way to teach and learn about life’s lessons. As a coach I’m supposed to help facilitate that. I should lead by serving the team and putting the team in position to be successful based on skill level. I will be demanding, but not demeaning to players creating a safe space for players to grow. Bonds should be established by having rapport, respect, and fun with the players to provide interest to the sport. I will not teach the sport as a game of offensive and defensive plays but I will teach players how to play the sport. I believe the process of success should lead to the product of winning.

Players do not only play for the coach; they should play primarily because they love to play the sport in which the coach could help. If a player wants to improve they will improve over time, but it starts with trusting the coach's decisions and wanting to improve themselves. This shows good character. Character is who you are when no accountability other than self is available. The character of a player is built on and off the court. A player should compete and compare against themselves first to find success to help with betterment of the team’s success.
